เมื่อช่วงปลายเดือนพฤษภาคมปีที่แล้ว เรามีโอกาสได้ไปเยือนเกาะแห่งหนึ่งของประเทศมาเลเซีย ชื่อ Palau Besar (แปลว่า เกาะขนาดใหญ่) บนเกาะนี้มีรีสอร์ตอยู่ไม่กี่แห่ง มีร้านรวงเล็กๆ ที่ชาวบ้านมาเปิดขายของอยู่ประปราย สภาพโดยรวมของพื้นที่บนเกาะถือว่ายังรักษาความสะอาดไว้ได้ดี ที่พัก บรรยากาศ สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกสบายก็ยังแสดงให้เห็นความพยายามที่จะทำตัวกลมกลืนกับธรรมชาติอยู่บ้าง ไม่ได้ดูใจร้ายกับต้นไม้ ชายหาดและท้องทะเลมากนัก
